Williams, Smith recognized during Dellroy homecoming

FPS staff report

The young and “young at heart” were entertained Saturday evening during the annual Dellroy Homecoming and parade.

The parade began the festivities followed by a kiddie tractor pull, a dunk tank, food, raffles and other games.

Barbara Williams was honored as grand marshal of the parade and Robert Smith as the citizen of the year. The recipients are chosen by members of the Dellroy Volunteer Fire Department based on their contributions and service to the community.

Parade winners included:
Sherrodsville Station 20 Fire Department (FD) - Best pumper 1,000 gallon and over;

Sherrodsville Station 33 FD - Best tanker;

Carrollton Village FD - Best brush unit;

Sherrodsville EMS - Best squad;

Loudon Twp. FD - Oldest truck in service and longest distance traveled;

Derek McIntire - Best antique tractor;

Rob Campbell - Best antique truck;

Carrollton Warriorettes - Best marching unit;

Golden Age Retreat - Judge’s Choice.

Judges for the parade were Brandon Lucas, Dustin Lucas and Kay Onstott.
