FPS staff report

The FPS Relay for Life Team and Loudon Twp. Fire Dept. are sponsoring a Benefit Tractor Pull June 2 beginning at 5 p.m.

Scales will open for weigh-in at 4 p.m. for the dead weight tractor pull at the fire station grounds on SR 9, Kilgore.

Classes are:  4,500, 5,500, 6,500, 7,500 and 8,500 farm stock.  Entry fee is $10 per class and cash awards are given for the top three places:  $25, $15, and $10. 

A lunch stand, bake sale and 50/50 drawing will be held.  Proceeds benefit the Carrollton Relay for Life set for June 29 and 30 at the Carroll County Fairgrounds.

The FPS “Lunch on the Square” is June 8 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Public Square.  By donation for hot dogs, coney or sloppy joe, dessert, chips and drink.

A “Bark in the Park” dog walk will be held June 10 at Bluebird Farm Park.  Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.  Cost is $5 per dog. 

Proceeds count toward Stacy’s Pink Posse Relay Team of Jefferson County for Jefferson County Relay for Life.
