Local tower erector shines in contest at national conference

FPS staff report

Aaron PauletteA Carrollton man’s expertise in his chosen field won him a Go Pro 3+ camera at the recent National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE) Conference held recently at San Diego, CA.

Aaron Paulette, president of the Carrollton-based company Elevated Services, LLC, won the camera by using his safety expertise to point out mistakes made in safety gear on a mannequin named “Tower Top Timmy” at the Wireless Workforce booth.

“Timmy had some easy, obvious things wrong with him,” said Paulette, “but there were also some things I think are common mistakes climbers make on their safety equipment.”

Paulette and his wife, Nicole, established the company in December 2011. Nicole serves as vice president. She recently accepted an invitation to sit on NATE’s member services committee. The couple says they attend the  yearly conference “to keep on top of their industry knowledge and safety.”
