Kathryn Kovach

Kathryn Kovach, age 93, of Carrollton passed away Wednesday Feb. 4, 2009, in her residence.

Born April 4, 1915, in Canton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katie (Bessenyei) Kertes.

She married Steve Kovach on May 6, 1939, and he passed away Sept. 18, 1987.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Carrollton.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy E. Spahr of Mechanicstown; a daughter-in-law, Linda Kovach of Carrollton; a grandson, Stephen Robert Kovach of Carrollton; a brother, Eugene Kertes of Canton and three sisters, Dorothy Kline of North Canton; Irene Jelinek of New Concord and Julia Kertes of Canton.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Stephen Kovach; four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Feb. 10 in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home.  Burial followed in Westview Cemetery.
