Samuel P. Weston
Samuel P. Weston, 70, of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center.
Born June 22, 1943, in Canton, he was a son of the late Ernest and Leah Marie (Benz) Weston.
After high school he joined the Navy and later was appointed Chaplain for the Carroll County Jail. He was a jack-of-all trades working in farming, as a mechanic, heavy machine operator, security guard and in landscaping.
He is survived by a daughter, DeeDee Lynn Garaux, of Waynesburg; two sons, Samuel J. (Shirley) Weston, of Malvern, and Adam L. (Carol) Weston, of Carrollton; grandchildren, Kolton A. Garaux, Austin M. Garaux, Samantha K. Weston, Amanda M. Weston, and Andrew J Weston; three sisters, SallyE. Peloso, of Alliance, Shirley K. Bradley, of Carrollton, and Carolina F. Rosenberger, of Portland, OR; two brothers, Ronald L. Weston, of Lewiston, ID, and Earnest A. Weston, of Minerva; and 17 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kay (Knight) Weston, in 1989; and a grandchild, Monica Garaux.
Funeral services will be held Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. at Christian Life Center in Minerva, with Pastor Tim Gropp officiating. Calling hours will be held Sunday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. in Bartley Funeral Home. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
