Betty Jane Coe

Betty Jane Coe, age 92, was born March 29, 1920, and went to be with her Lord March 6, 2013. She had a full and wonderful life.

She was born in Uhrichsville, and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Hazel Mills Dietrick.

She grew up and graduated from Gnadenhutten High School then attended Aultman Nursing School. She moved from Canton to Carrollton in 1951. Betty was a member of New Harrisburg Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and was a deacon in the church. She sang with and was a member of the Carroll County Choral.  An avid reader, she was a member of numerous book clubs, the music club and taught bridge. She loved to watch tennis and her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.

Betty is survived by four children, Thomas Coe of Myrtle Beach, SC, David Coe of Lake Mohawk, Malvern, Diane Coe of Redding, CA, and Jeff Coe of Mullins, SC; and a brother, Kenneth Dietrick of New Philadelphia.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest A. Coe; a sister, Phyllis Feller; and a brother, Ralph Dietrick.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 11 at 11 a.m. in New Harrisburg Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Laney and Fred Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in New Harrisburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made the Carroll County Library, 70 Second Street NE, Carrollton, OH 44615, and the Animal Humane Relief.
