Dan Myers, age 59, of Minerva passed away suddenly July 22, 2013.
Born Dec. 18, 1953, in Canton, he was a son of late Francis and Katheryn Myers. He lived most of his life in Minerva with his loving wife, Tracey.
He was an excellent machinist for 25 and enjoyed making various items out of deer antlers. He loved to go fishing and enjoyed the outdoors. Dan put his heart and soul into all he did.
He will be greatly missed. He will be remembered for his big sense of humor, his love for his wife, his love of animals, and the stories he shared of his life. Most of all, he will be remembered for being the most loving father, grandfather and husband anyone could ask for.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Tracey Myers of Minerva with whom he celebrated 30 years of marriage in March; his daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Scott Davis of Massillon; two granddaughters who were his pride and joy, Rylee and Sophie Davis of Massillon; three sisters, Sheila Bartko, Linda Myers and Kathy Fielding, all of Canton; and a brother, Chuck Myers of Canton.
He was preceded in death by his, parents, mother-in-law, Darlene Bentley and a brother-in-law, Scott Bentley.
Funeral services will be held July 27 at 10 a.m. in St. James Church in Waynesburg with Father Joe Zamri officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Malvern. Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 p.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton.
