Laura A. Albrecht
Laura A. Albrecht, age 53, of Carrollton, passed away Dec. 29 in her residence.
Born in Massillon, a daughter of Shirley and Bob Jordan, of Canton and Terry Kirven, of TX, she was a Carrollton resident for 20 years. Laura was a 1978 graduate of Jackson High School and a 1985 graduate of Kent State University with a master’s degree in Speech Pathology. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg and worked for the Carrollton Exempted Village School District where she was a speech therapist.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Albrecht, with whom she celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary Sept. 4; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Lisa and James Campbell, of Massillon, and Tammy and Mike Chapman, of Canton; one stepson and his wife, Shawn and Marcy Albrecht, of Carrollton; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Steve Kirven and Jim Kirven, both of Canton, and Dave and Kathy Kirven, of North Canton; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three nieces and two nephews.
Family and friends will meet at St. James Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Jan. 3 at 10 a.m. with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant.
Interment will be in Baxter’s Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.
