Josephine M. (Ritchie) Grunder

Josephine M. (Ritchie) Grunder, 83, of Carrollton passed away Wednesday evening Jan. 4, 2012, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.

 Born Jan. 7, 1928, near Amsterdam, she was a daughter of the late Glenn David and Hallie Mae Warner Ritchie.

She was a member of Harsh Bible Church of Carrollton and the Order of the Eastern Star.

 She is survived by a son, Eric R. (Janet I.) Grunder of Carrollton; daughter, Linda D. Grimes of Carrollton; three grandchildren, Beau (Debbie) Grimes, Amanda (Brian) Ulman, Erica (Greg) Mytinger; eight great grandchildren; brother, Dennis Ritchie; two sisters, Donna Gregor and Pattie Staggers; two brothers-in-law and their families, Dave Grunder and Joel Preston; and two sisters-in-law and their families, Elaine Manson and Norma Grunder.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Osborne Joseph Grunder, on April 25, 2005.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Gilreath officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to Community Hospice of Carroll County, 1040 Trump Road, Carrollton, OH 44615.
