Michael Henry Silcott
Michael Henry Silcott, 65, of Carrollton passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, in Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Born March 12, 1948, in Chillicothe, he was a son of the late Henry Otto and Marie (Goble) Silcott.
Michael was a machinist with Hall Machine in Carrollton. He lived in Carrollton for 32 years, coming from Waverly. He attended trade school for machines in the Navy. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed his 1971 Ford Mustang Mach I Cobra Jet, going to car shows and woodworking. He was a devout Christian and belonged to Carrollton Baptist Temple. Besides his hobbies, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his fiancée, Cindy Sarver of Carrollton; a daughter, Michelle Silcott of Carrollton; two brothers, Kevin (Brenda) Silcott and Randy (Jenny) Silcott, both of Waverly; a sister, Debora (Michael) Frost of Chillicothe; and two grandchildren, Luke and K'Dyn.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Silcott; and a sister, Joyce Campbell.
A funeral service will be held Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home with Pastor David Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Greensburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Feb. 3 from 6-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Carrollton Baptist Temple.
