Delbert H. Sweebe
Delbert H. Sweebe, 87, of Carrollton died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Aultman Hospital.
Born July 21, 1925, in Akron, he was a son of the late George and Frances Carson Sweebe. Delbert was also preceded in death by his brothers, George and Robert Sweebe.
Delbert retired from the Hoover Co. in North Canton as a millwright after 30 years of faithful service. He proudly served his country during the Korean War with the US Army and was a member of Carrollton Seventh Day Adventist Church. Delbert had an interest in the Native American culture and was an avid history buff.
Delbert will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Yvonne R. Gray Sweebe, whom he married Oct. 8, 1950; children, Richard (Bonnie) Sweebe of Strongsville, David (Susan) Sweebe of Carrollton, Kathy (Thomas) Butler of Concord, NC, and Bart (Kim) Sweebe of Brookings, SD; brother, Wayne (Bessie) Bissel of Dover; sister, Grace Ely of Ragersville; grandchildren, Zachary, George, Eric, Thomas, Angel, Alex, Nathaniel and Andrew and nine great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held April 19 at Foxfield Preserve at the Wilderness Center with Pastor Jim Tasker officiating.
