Dorothy F. Shore

Dorothy F. Shore, 78, of Amsterdam, died Friday morning June 19, 2009, in Steubenville.

A daughter of the late Frank and Blanche Lewandoski Mazur, she was born Sept. 29, 1930, in Wolf Run.

She was a member of St. Joseph 's Catholic Church in Amsterdam and the Catholic Women's Club.

She is survived by one son, Robert "Sonny" (Christine) Shore of Steubenville; three daughters, Antoinette Moore of Wintersville, Kathryn (Tom) Alloway of Amsterdam, and Juanita (Brad) Groen of Minnesota; six grandchildren, Denise (Al) Reader, Haley Stern, Candice Everly, Tommy Alloway Jr., David and Travis Shore; one great grandchild, Marik Everly; two brothers, Frank (Jeannie) Mazur and Alfred (Betty) Mazur.

Along with her husband, Anthony, she is preceded in death by one son, David and one sister, Blanche Carmen.

Mass of Christian Burial was held June 22 in St. Joseph Catholic Church of Amsterdam with Fr. Jack McCoy officiating. Burial followed in Smithfield Cemetery.   Arrangements were under the care and guidance of Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam.
