T. Leila McKinney

T. Leila McKinneyT. Leila McKinney, 91, of Amsterdam Rd., Scio (Perrysville) died early Monday morning July 27, 2009, in the Carroll Healthcare Center in Carrollton.
Born April 7, 1918, in Perrysville, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Grace Custer Muze Stewart.

She was an employee of the former Scio Pottery and had been a senior citizen transport driver for the Carroll County Friendship Center.

She was a member of the Perrysville United Methodist church, where at the time of her death she was the oldest member and had served as the church organist and pianist until 2008. Leila was a member of the Carroll County Historical Society and played in the Algonquin Mill Band.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen Kuligowski of Louisville, Michelle (Benjamin) Crall of Carrollton and Jill (Gary) Henry of Carrollton; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and two sisters, Melveen Dutenhaver of Carrollton, and Edith Newbold of Mechanicstown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade, in 1974; and granddaughter, Melody Alazaus in 2007.

Funeral Services will be Friday, July 31 at 11a.m. in Perrysville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in Sweeney- Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton. Memorial donations may be made in Leila's name to the Carroll County Friendship Center-Meals on Wheels program.
