Alma Pearl Liggett Mader
Alma Pearl Liggett Mader, 90, formerly of Carrollton went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, in her daughter's residence in Hammondsville.
Born April 9, 1923, in Hopedale, she was a daughter of Albert Eugene and Anna Vesta Liggett. She was one of nine children and lived most of her life in Carroll County.
She worked as a cook most of her life. As a resident at Carroll Court, she enjoyed cooking for everyone at the center for senior activities.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Tom) Shaw of Carrollton and Karen (Joe) Smith of Hammondsville; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Jim Stenger and Frank Mader; seven brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. in Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Hopedale. Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Friday and 10-10:45 p.m. Saturday before the funeral service.
