Robert Hole, age 87, of Scio and formerly Minerva, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, in Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison.
Born April 8, 1925, in East Rochester, he was a son of Arthur and Winifred (Taylor) Hole.
He retired from Diebold where he was an Industrial Engineer for 42 years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, past master and former treasurer for Tubal Lodge #551 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, Minerva Chapter Royal Arch Masons in Carrollton, Loyalty Council, Royal and Select Masons in Carrollton. He was a former president of Malvern Rotary.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Jane (Stiffler) Hole whom he married Dec. 19, 1948; two sons, Greg (Dixie) Hole of Scio and Jeff (Robin) Hole of Minerva; seven grandchildren, Zeke (Anita) Hole of Scio, E.J. (Kristie) Hole of Malvern, Alecia (Josh) Tisher of Ravenna, Miranda (Donny) Coss of Paris, Joanie Krider of Malvern, Robert Blackson Jr. of Waco and Diane Blackson of Dover; two sisters-in-law, Bertha Christensen of Canton and Marian Stiffler of Massillon; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 21 at 11 a.m. in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. James Rice officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home with Masonic Services at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc.
