To the Editor:
On May 22, Bell-Herron Middle School held its field day at Community Field for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. It was a very engaging, successful and fun day to celebrate the hard work of our students and staff and our “Excellent” school.

We want to start by thanking the Carrollton Civic Club for taking time out of their busy schedules to make this day special by grilling lunch for our students and staff. In addition, we would like to thank Rick and Juanita Weals for donating the use of their dunk tank so our students had the opportunity to dunk some of their teachers. Proceeds from the dunk tank will be used to help sixth grade students attend Nature’s Classroom this fall. The BHMS Student Council would also like to express a sincere thank-you to the following people/groups which made our field day a huge success: Matthew Nicholas, Rich Moyer, Mark Spears, Jeff Kirkpatrick, BHMS Student Council, CEVSD bus drivers and our BHMS staff members.

Kris Mallarnee and Shawn Neeley
