Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
On behalf of the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry and the Carroll County Ministerial Association that sponsors the pantry, I would like to thank the Carrollton community for the very generous support of this Christian charity ministry. Loaves and Fishes supplies emergency and supplemental food to about 350 households each week.

This holiday season, several thousand dollars were donated to the pantry as well as items from numerous food drives conducted by clubs, organizations and school groups.

Special thanks to Betty Kaye Bakery and Thorne’s Market for regular donations for food throughout the year, the Sisters of Charity for the rent-free use of the building that houses the pantry and Dean Rinehart and his crew of men who make two trips each week to the Akron Food Bank and haul several tons of food each month.

We are all fortunate to live in such a generous and caring community.

Gordon Warner
Director
Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry
