To the Editor:
In the Dec. 30 issue of The Free Press Standard an article was published titled, “The World According to Ron.”

I am Ron Hornbeck’s daughter and want to express my appreciation for the kind words, special remembrances and thoughtfulness to the writer. Coaching and teaching were his life. Dad would be comforted and grateful to know so many remember him, his teachings and his “stories.”

The author of “Papa Warrior” did not leave his name as we as a family would love to know who to thank. If you prefer to remain anonymous, we will just say thank you for allowing us to know “Mr. Hornbeck” did actually realize his dream of helping to educate several generations of Carrollton youth.
