To the Editor:
The Carroll County Arts Board would like to express sincere thanks to all who help support our volunteer organization. On April 12, the second annual Oil Barons Ball was held at Atwood Lake Resort. The event was a huge success and raised close to $30,000 for Carroll County Arts.

The event opened with a patron party where 50 guests enjoyed appetizers and wine. The main event, which had 160 in attendance, consisted of a wonderful dinner, silent auction and live auction and music provided by the Bob Hill orchestra. The live auction, conducted by Bill Newell, allowed guests to bid on items donated by Gasser Jewelers, Guess Motors, Diane Granger, CPS, Cheri Bell, April Stutts, Dowell Family Dentistry and Matt Ferris.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the following sponsors for the evening for the Carroll County Arts Center: Chesapeake Energy, Dale and Ina Galliher, Ken and Colleen Joseph, Richard and Judy Miller, Rex Energy, Bob and Carol Walter, Rick and Carol Hannon, Lumber Service and Vickie Geiger. The volunteers who helped make the evening possible are too numerous to mention but we could not have done this without you!

We also want to thank the community for its support and everyone who made the event a success enabling us to continue to foster the creative spirit in Carroll County.
