The Carrollton boys track team took part in a quadrangular last Tuesday evening at West Branch High School where they split their two meets.
They defeated Alliance 75-52, but fell to Salem 84-44.
Cole Lovett and Tyler Dodd each recorded two first place finishes for the Warriors.
Lovett won the 1,600 and 3,200-meter runs with times of 5:04 and 10:54, while Dodd won with throws of 52’8 and 155’10.5” in the shot and discus.
Also placing first for Carrollton were Austin Keefer in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.5, Zade Deitz in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.5, the 1,600-meter relay team of Jimmy Burkhart, Noah Stertzbach, Aaron Schlabach and Gabe Owens with a time of 3:45.7 and Zach Fuhrer in the 300-hurdles with a time of 44.5.
Last Friday the Warriors took part in the Marlington Relays at Marlington High School where they placed third out of eight teams with 57 points.
Placing first for the Warriors was the shot put team of Dodd, Austin Bentley and Jacob Casto with a combined distance of 143’.5”.
Field High School won the event with 100 points with host Marlington second with 72, Northwest fourth with 53, and Sandy Valley fifth with 42 points. Minerva placed seventh with 26 points..
Carrollton was to host Marlington Tuesday and take part in the Jackson Twilight Invitational this Friday night.
Next week, they will travel to Minerva on Tuesday and take part in the annual NBC meet Friday at Riley Stadium in Salem to end their regular season.
