Lady Warrior golfers fail to move on to district play

FPS staff report

The 2013 golf season came to an end for the Carrollton Lady Warriors’ golf team as they failed to get out of the sectional tournament last Wednesday.

The Lady Warriors finished their regular season with a record of 7-11.

In regular season action, the Lady Warriors finished strong, defeating Claymont and Sandy Valley in a triangular last Monday at Carroll Meadows.

Carrollton carded a 205, Claymont a 207 and Sandy Valley a 217.

Elizabeth Domer was low for the Warriors with a 46, Olivia Albrecht was close behind with a 48, Anna Truman was next with a 52 and Liz Bormuth carded a 59.

Last Wednesday the Warriors took part in the Division II sectional tournament at River Greens.

Carrollton placed eighth overall with a team score of 416.

The top four teams and top four individuals qualified for the district tournament.

Albrecht was low for Carrollton with a 96. Domer shot a 103, Truman a 107 and Josie Townsend a 110.

Dover placed first with a score of 334 and Minerva was second with a 376.

Ellie Chaddock was low for the Lions with an 83, while Logan Pottorf carded a 90, Sydni Hertel a 100, Libby Mobberley a 103 and Mackenzie Clark a 104.
