Wrestlers pick up four dual meet wins at Lexington

LEXINGTON – The Warrior wrestling team picked up four dual wins last weekend at the Lexington Duals.

Carrollton picked up wins over Lexington 65-15, Chippewa 76-0, Rittman 69-11 and Springfield 64-12.

Against Lexington, Justin Shaw (152), Brandon Daniels (160) and Noah Carrothers (182) recorded pins. Tanner Newbold (138) picked up a 7-2 decision.

Jayden Zbuca (106), Evan Lewis (132), Ben Pasiuk (145), Shaw, Daniels and Alex Carrothers earned pins against Chippewa.

Against Rittman, Zbuka, Lewis, Newbold, Pasiuk, Shaw, Noah Carrothers, Noah Rutledge (220) and Tavis Rutledge (Hwt.) all won by pin.

Blake, Robbie Hoopes (126), Newbold, Pasiuk, Shaw, Daniels and Noah Carrothers all recorded pins against Springfield. Lewis picked up a 18-6 major decision and Alex Carrothers and Baxter both won by 6-4 scores.

The Warriors are off until Dec. 14 when they host Salem in the first Northeastern Buckeye Conference match of the season. Action begins at 7 p.m.
