Wade A. Rittenhouse, 64, of Minerva, died Sunday, Feb.14, 2016, in Aultman Hospital.
He retired from the Minerva Post Office after 29 years of service. He was US Army veteran and a former member of VFW Post #4120. He graduated from Minerva High School in 1969 and was a member of Faith Family Church in Canton.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by four children, Susan (John) Common, Beth (Roy) Berger and Mike (Mickey) Hawkins, all of Minerva, and Scott (Beth) Hawkins of Erie, PA; two sisters, Kathy (Jim) Baus of Fort Myers, FL, and Jo Rittenhouse of Phoenix, AZ; three brothers, Rick (Anna) Rittenhouse of Phoenix, AZ, Harry (Kathy) Rittenhouse and Jim (Carrie) Rittenhouse, both of Minerva; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife,, Patricia (Reed) Rittenhouse, who died in 2001; and a sister, Linda Rittenhouse.
Funeral services with military honors will be Saturday, Feb. 20 at 12 noon in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Callings house will be held two hours prior to services from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
