Alberta Marie Smylie, age 87, of Scio died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Vance, Alabama where she was visiting her daughter. Born August 15, 1922 in Moundsville, W.Va. she was a daughter of the late Chester and Pearl Conner. She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Smylie, fourteen brothers and sisters and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Scio Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jack Visser officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Scio. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Koch Funeral Home, Scio. A full obituary will appear in the next edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
