Audrey Mae Merryman, 95, of New Philadelphia, and a long-time resident of Cadiz Junction, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, in Union Hospital.
Born May 13, 1915, in Bloomingdale, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Mahala and Nora Anita Miller Carman.
In addition to her parents, Audrey Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, on Sept. 6, 1991; a brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Sarah Carman; a son-in-law, Clint Rice; and by a brother in infancy.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor David W. Wing of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Dover officiating. Immediately following the service, there will be a meal in the Dover Foursquare Church. Burial will be Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Centre Unity Church Cemetery near Hopedale. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Monday, 10 – 11 a.m.
The family suggests that contributions in Audrey’s memory be made to the Foursquare Gospel Church, 302 E. Slingluff Ave., Dover, OH 44622. A full obituary will appear in the next print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
