David Truman Hackney, age 62, of 75900 Dry Ridge Road, Freeport died at 5 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2011 at his home of natural causes.
Born July 7, 1948 in Williamson, West Virginia, a son of the late Phillip and Ona Birdie Abshire Hackney.
Preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Clara, Lois, Patty, and an infant sister.
Visitation will be held in Koch Funeral Home, 216 South High Street, Freeport on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 20 at the funeral home with Pastor David Koch officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport. A full obituary will appear in the next print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
