Helen Louise Biggs, 79, Unionport, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 in Trinity West, Steubenville. She was born in Glassport, Pa., Sept. 4, 1931, the daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude Landis Markle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Home Biggs in 2002; two sisters, Lasetta Markle, Sarah Markle and two brothers, Leroy and Clyde Markle.
Friends may call at the Blackburn Funeral Home, Hopedale Monday, Jan. 24, 2011 from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. The Unionport Civil War Auxiliary will provide honors at 3:30 p.m. followed by the Unionport Eastern Star Services, then at 4 p.m. Pastor Hubert Granger will officiate with the funeral. Burial will be on Tuesday afternoon in Chester, Ohio at 2 p.m. A full obituary will appear in the next print edition of the Harrison News-Herald.
