Harold Peirce Eastwood, 85, of the Tappan Lake area near Scio since 1989, formerly a longtime resident of Maple Heights, passed away Sunday, Apri 24, 2011 at Union Hospital in Dover, after a sudden illness. Born June 1, 1925 in Cleveland, he was a son of the late Otto William and Pauline Corine (Peirce) Eastwood.

On April 19, 1947, he married the former Gladys G. Davies with whom he enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage until her passing on Jan. 26, 1997. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his brother, Ervin Eastwood.

Services officiated by the Rev. John W. Clark, will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Interment will be beside his beloved wife in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Tappan Lake.
