Patricia J. “Pat” Riley, age 79, a former resident Bowerston, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in the Bowerston Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center near Leesville after a long illness. She was born June 2, 1932 in Canton, the daughter of the late Raymond H. Rowland, Sr. and Mary Kutz Rowland Dodez.
Her husband, Samuel M. Riley, Jr., whom she married Jan. 29, 1948, died Feb.8, 2005. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two sons Timothy and Randy Riley, and three daughters Rebecca Haverkos Burnsworth, Cathleen Riley and Robin Gartrell.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Sat., July 30, 2011 in the Leesville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerralyn Myers officiating. Interment will follow in the Leesville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 until 7 p.m. in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville.
