Harold DeWayne Smith Jr. 79, Hopedale, died March 26, 2012 in Wheeling Hospital after a long illness. He was born Jan. 24, 1933 in Bloomingdale, a son of the late Harold and Hazel Ralston Smith. He was also preceded in death by a brother Charles in 1997.
Friends may call at the Blackburn Funeral Home, Hopedale Thursday, March 29, 2012, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with services there Friday, March 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ruby Foutz officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery near Hopedale. Masonic services will be at 8:45 p.m. on Thursday with the Unionport Lodge #333 officiating. Hopedale American Legion Post #682 will provide military honors.
