Carol J. Anderson, age 65, of Tuscarawas, passed away peacefully with her family at her side Saturday evening, Aug. 11, 2012, in Mercy Medical Center at Canton. Born at Wheeling, West Virginia, Dec. 10, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Joseph William and Gertrude Cologie Cook.
In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph “Ike” Cook and brother-in-law, Millard R. Anderson.
Friends are invited to call Friday, Aug. 17, from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where the Rev. Dennis G. Rohn will lead a funeral service for Carol Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will follow at Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery. A luncheon reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Those unable to attend are invited to share memories and condolences with the family, by visiting Carol’s permanent memorial on the funeral home’s Web site.
