“Together again”

Thomas Wayne VanFossen, age 86, of 507 Ashton Street, Holloway, died at 12:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 in Barnesville Health Care Center, Barnesville, Belmont County, Ohio.

Born August 17, 1926 in Belmont County, Ohio, he was a son of the late Wayne Namone VanFossen and Josephine Mosslander VanFossen.

Tom attended Holloway High School and joined the army when he was seventeen. After serving four years in the army, on September 14, 1947 in New Athens, Ohio he married his wife, Eva Jean Bradley VanFossen. She died May 14, 2007.

In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Frank A. Hodkinson in 1985 and two sisters, Betty Chase and Marion Roy.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S. High Street, Freeport with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 also in the funeral home with Pastor Al Hoder and Jack Morgan officiating. Military service and burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing Township.
