Myrtle Louise Johnson Davis, age 75, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (formerly of Deersville, Ohio), peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 with a smile on her face. A very strong-willed woman, she courageously fought a battle with cancer as well as Crohn’s disease, a life-long illness.
Born September 17, 1937, in Wellsville, Columbiana County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Willard Glenn Johnson and Violet Mae Ammon Johnson of East Liverpool, Ohio.
Her husband, Clark Joseph Davis, Sr., passed away on June 3, 1981. They were married September 29, 1956. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Chad Lee Dixon, who died February 9, 2012, in a motorcycle accident in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport, Ohio. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at Deersville United Methodist Church, 226 West Main Street, Deersville, Ohio, with Pastor Dave Koch officiating. Burial will follow in Patterson Union Cemetery, Deersville, Ohio.
