Miller August “Shybuck” Merkel, 73, of Cadiz, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Laurels of Steubenville. He was born Sept. 26, 1940 in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Miller Mills and Josephine Julia Russel Merkel.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by an infant daughter, Melissa Sue Merkel and a brother, Bidge Merkel.
Calling hours will be held Monday, March 10, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio. Military honors provided by Dillonvale American Legion.
