Paul E. Culver, Sr., 88, of Hopedale, Ohio, died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Gables Care Center, Hopedale. He was born May 17, 1926 in The Plains, Ohio, a son of the late George Leonard and Ethel Hungerford Culver. Mr. Culver was a retired coal miner from the Nelms #2 Mine of Y. & O. Coal Company at Hopedale. He was a Protestant by faith. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and was a lifetime member of Hopedale Post 682 of the American Legion and a member of the VFW and the UMWA. He enjoyed being with his family and tinkering.
Friends may call Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 S. Main St. Cadiz, Ohio, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 29 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Hopedale Cemetery.
