obit art 3Mildred M. Butterfield Leggett, age 93, of Perrysville died Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at her home. Born September 3, 1920 in Perry Twp., Carroll Co., she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Coffy Butterfield. Mildred was valedictorian of Perrysville High School Class of 1938 and attended Canton Business School. She was an office worker for various companies including Scio Livestock Auction and she and her husband, Jerry Leggett, owned and operated Mil-Jer Farms.

Mildred was a devoted lifetime member of the Perrysville United Methodist Church, belonging to the United Methodist Women and holding various offices. She was also a member of the WCTU and Carroll Co. Farm Bureau. She enjoyed being outside swinging on her porch swing but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Perrysville United Methodist Church with Pastor Edward Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Perrysville Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Koch Funeral Home, Scio. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Carroll Co., 1040 Trump Rd. Suite G, Carrollton, 44615.
