John V. Chaney, Age 90, of Piedmont Route, died Monday, August 18, 2014 at Barnesville Health Care Center. He was born June 01, 1924 in Belmont County to the late William E. & Alpha Grubbs Chaney. A grandchild also preceded him in death. He was a retired Republic Steel employee of Canton.
He is survived by his wife Sharon; three daughters: Barbara Bagley and Cheryl Wells of Louisville, Darlene ‘Marlon’ Best of Cadiz; two Sons: John ‘Kelly’ Chaney, of Canton & Darrell Chaney of Massillon.
Step children: Lisa Kuhns of the home, Donald Kuhns of Malvern & Tonya Capalingo of Canton; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Bond Funeral Home, Londonderry Friday, August 22 at 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Pastor Bob Merritt will officiate.
Burial will follow at Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport
