Oma Ramsey Photo for Times Reporter and News HeraldOma Jean Ramsey, age 72, of New Rumley, died Thursday, Oct. 16, in Great Trails Care Center in Minerva. Born April 30, 1942 in Duck, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Dorsey Jarvis and Martha Jane Dawson Jarvis. She worked at Cardinal Rubber in Barberton retiring in 2001 after 24 years of service.

Oma enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, watching television and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Millroy Ramsey on Nov. 10, 2003; they were married March 25, 1966.

Surviving are her sons Rodney (Jeannie) Ramsey of Akron, Millroy Allen (Vicky) Ramsey of New Rumley and Shawn D. (Tina) Ramsey of Scio; grandchildren Shawn Nathan, Hanah Kelli, Troy Lee, Adam Kyle, Dakota Dawn and Wyatt Dean; brothers Bassel and James Jarvis and sisters Carol Jarvis, Phyllis Marks and Melba Ramsey.

Services will be held Monday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. in Koch Funeral Home, Scio with Rev. Billy Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in New Rumley Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, Oct. 26 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
