obit art 5Mark A. Davenport – 61 of Bloomingdale, Ohio died suddenly in his home Wednesday, Nov. 12. Mark was retired from Wheeling-Pitt Steel where he worked for over 30 years. He was born in Wheeling, W.Va. on July 3, 1953 the son of the late Eugene and Gloria Swelbar Davenport. Mark has been studying at Eastern Gateway Community College working on a degree in electrical and mechanical engineering. He was a 1970 graduate of Indian Creek High School and a member of the United Steel Workers of America.

He is survived by a son, Jacob Davenport and a daughter, Brooke Davenport of Bossier City, La; two brothers, Gary (Lynn) Davenport of Cambridge, Ohio, and Roger (Beth) Davenport of Hopedale; two sisters, Darlene Davenport of Cadiz, and Victoria (Thomas) Fenton of Medford, N.J. He was a past Master of the Pilgrim Lodge #691 of Steubenville. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Masonic Services were held at 8 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 16. Funeral Services were held on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Blackburn funeral home with entombment at Fort Steuben.
