Joyce Trotter- 91 of Jewett, Ohio died Sunday, Nov. 16, in the Harrison Co. Home, Cadiz.
She was born in Coshocton, Ohio August 27, 1923 the daughter of the late Ack and Goldie Moody Miller. She also was preceded in death by her husband Byron “Barney” Trotter last month on Oct. 17, 2014. Joyce was also preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Miller and a brother- in- law, Newell Trotter.
She was a graduate of Cadiz, High School, class of 1942. Joyce was a member of the Jewett St. James Lutheran Church. Throughout her life, she was devoted to caring for her family and home. Surviving is her son, Thomas (Deborah) Trotter of Jewett, grandsons, Ty (Leslie) Trotter, of East Peoria, Ill., and Treg Trotter of Akron, Ohio. Great grandchildren are Thayer and Isla Trotter of East Peoria, Ill. Also sister-in-laws, Letha McMannis of Scio and Naomi Trotter of Cadiz. Several nieces and nephews survive.
Friends may call at Blackburn Funeral Home, 416 E Main St., Jewett, Ohio on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. Services are there on Friday, Nov. 20 and Nov. 21 at 11 a.m.. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Sara Walker Brown officiating.
