Donna Marie Pfouts Snodgrass, age 75, died Friday, Dec. 5, at her home in Jewett. Born June 26, 1939 in Scio she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel Keiser Pfouts. She worked at the Scio Pottery Co for over 20 years retiring when they closed in 1985. She formed true friendships there and was a member of the “Pottery Girls” group who continued to meet once a month for lunch.
Donna was a devoted member of the Bowerston Baptist Church. She loved helping others and was always there for her family and friends. She also donated her time and money to support the Steubenville Mission. She enjoyed traveling, growing flowers but most of all she loved seeing all of her family, friends and former co-workers at the Scio Fall Festival every year.
Surviving are her husband William Joseph Snodgrass who she married December 14, 1974; children Charlie Dewey “Chuck” (Kim) Woods of Scio, Diana K. (Richard) Little of Malvern, Ronald B. (Doris) Leggett of New Rumley, David A. (Tricia) Leggett of Bowerston and Joey E. (Connie) Leggett of New Philadelphia; step children John (Dori) Snodgrass, Carolyn Falls, Rita (Paul) Staley and Joseph Snodgrass; a brother Thomas (Cindy) Pfouts of Canton; a sister Katheryn (Richard) Harbourt of Morristown; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; eleven step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother Arthur “Sonny” Pfouts, Jr., a sister and brother-in-law Janice and Charles Mansfield, a step-son James Snodgrass and a step-daughter Nita Snodgrass.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Koch Funeral Home, Scio, with Pastor Dr. Gene Keplinger officiating. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
