Norma June Kimmel, 83, of New Philadelphia, formerly of Cadiz, died Tuesday, Dec. 23 at Amberwood Manor Nursing Home, New Philadelphia. She was born January 22, 1931 in Hopedale, a daughter of the late Fred and Clara Hall Richards.
Norma was a former employee of the Scio Pottery and Belmont College North Center. She was a member of the Hanover United Methodist Church In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Kimmel in 2003; two brothers, George and Clarence “Bus” Richards; and three sisters, Anna Mae Richards, Twila Writesel and Helen Davis.
Surviving are two sons, Paul Edward Moreland of Jewett and Jerry Allen Moreland (Teresa) of New Philadelphia; a daughter, Kathy Guth of New Philadelphia; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; four step-sons, Walter Eugene Kimmel of Oklahoma City, OK, John Edward Kimmel of Columbus, Alan Kimmel of North Ridgeville and Keith Kimmel of Gnadenhutten; six step-grandchildren; a number of step-great grandchildren; and two brothers, Carl (Jo) Streley and Donald (Dianna) Richards, all of Hopedale. Friends may call Friday, 4-7 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Roger Zimmerman officiating.
