Anna Mae Heath, age 86, of 26199 Cutlip Road, Tippecanoe, Ohio died at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, following complications of a stroke on Dec. 30. She was surrounded by family at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.
Born July 7, 1928 in Fairview, Belmont County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Frye and Amanda Grear Frye. She graduated in 1946 from Barnesville High School.
She was a member of TOPS of Uhrichsville, she was an awesome baker and made many creations including wedding cakes.
Her husband of 64 years, Samuel Earl Heath, Jr. died November 26, 2014. They were married March 26, 1950 in Mt. Zion Church in Key Ridge, Ohio.
Surviving are eight children: Samuel (Kenna) Heath of Rayland, Dick (Regina) Heath of Stillwater, Joyce (Rick) Swaldo of Uhrichsville, Randy Heath of Tippecanoe, Chuck (Sherry) Heath of Cambridge, Mike (Roberta) Heath of St. Clairsville, Judy Heath of Cadiz, Lori (Mitch) Bumpus of Mt. Vernon and forty-four grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Irene Heath, who died in 1956; and a sister, Mary Ellen Giesey in 1964.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High St., Freeport with Rev. Henry Mooney officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will follow and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
