Thelma A. Ramsey, 83 of New Athens, died Jan. 14, at her home. She was born October 7, 1931 in Nottingham Township, Harrison County, Ohio a daughter of the late Clark O. Adams and Carrie Simpson Adams Barrett.
Thelma was a retired employee of Harrison Community Hospital and attended the House of the Shepherd in New Athens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Adams Paxton.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Ramsey; three daughters: Cindy Schindler of North Ridgeville, Lindy Ramsey of New Athens and Debbie (Mark) Koehler of Beallsville, Ohio; a son Rick Ramsey of New Athens; seven grandchildren, Carrie Anne and Keith Schindler of North Ridgeville, Lacey Stackhouse of Los Angeles, Sara Stackhouse (Dustin) Olinski of Alabama, Matthew (Meghan) Ramsey and Kevin Ramsey, of New Athens, Logan Koehler (Danielle Kidwell) of Beallsville and Martha Ann Koehler of Columbus; three great grandchildren, Lexis Maray Klee and Josie Mae Olinski, of Alabama and Evan Ramsey of New Athens; and her little buddy, Rowdy.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
