Mary Frances Sturm, 88, of Wooster, died Sunday, Feb. 8, at West View Healthy Living.
Mary was born August 26, 1926 in Canton to Grover C. and Cleopatra {King} Camp. She married William C. Sturm on November 3, 1941. He passed on Jan. 15, 2002.
Mary worked in retail and as an office clerk. She was a member of Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, Ohio. Mary enjoyed needlework. She was known as a very gentle and caring soul, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mary loved her family, gifting them with quilts and afghans made with her stitches of love.
Mary will be deeply missed by her children Donna (William) Beam of Wooster and William L. (Rose Marie) Sturm of Wooster; grandchildren Richard Beam, Penny (Eric) Taylor and granddaughter-in-law Tisha; great-grandchildren Nathan and MacKenzie Beam, Grace and Jack Taylor, Shelby, Jennah and Madellee Sturm.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years and grandson Jeffrey Sturm, brothers Glenn (Betty) Camp and Grover Camp. The family would like to thank the staff at West View Healthy Living, Dr. John K. Miller and Pastor Kirk Fairhurst for their gentle and loving care.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
