Stephen “Steve” M. Jones “Jones E”, 80 of Zanesville died at 3:20 p.m., Friday, March 6, at the Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center.
He was born on Dec. 18, 1934 in Harrison County the son of Edward and Dorothy Mehollin Jones.
Steve was a long time member of the Muskingum Presbyterian Church and an Army veteran. He retired from Graham Equipment, was a member of the Irville Masonic Lodge # 184, Amrou Grotto, Alladin Shrine, Vivi Shrine Circus Daddy, Farm Bureau, Ruritan and the American Legion. Steve enjoyed tractor pulls and was an auction enthusiast.
He is survived by a daughter, Ina Marie Roberts and a son Patrick Edward Jones; his grandchildren, Eric, Jenny, Ashley and Aaron; first cousins, John D. Arnold and Debbie Malloy; a special friend, Louise Edwards and numerous cousins. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Karen Jones Smith.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., with Irville Masonic Lodge # 184 conducting services at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10 at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with Pastor Donna Edsall officiating. Burial with military honors will conclude at the Muskingum Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gorsuch Rd., Nashport Ohio.
