Richard W. “Dick” Easlick, age 65, of Cardington, Ohio, and formerly of Scio, Ohio, died Sunday, April 19, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
On July 29, 1949, Richard was born in Dennison, Ohio, the son of the late Wayne N. and Betty J. (Kelly) Easlick of Hanover Ridge.
After 22 years, Richard retired from Honda of America in Marysville in 2010, where he worked on the assembly line and the supply room. He also worked as a coal miner at Y&O Mine in Hopedale, OH and Oak Park in Cadiz, Ohio.
Richard belonged to the Hanover Ridge Methodist Church.
Family came first in everything Richard did. He loved traveling and working in the yard. He was also a Buckeye fan.
He is survived by his wife, Marian, of Cardington, Ohio. They just celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on April 16. He is also survived by a daughter, Wanda L. Jacobsen of Dover, Ohio; a son, Michael W. Easlick of Lititz, Pa.; a grandson, Donald L. Sullivan III of Cardington, Ohio; a granddaughter, Casie L. Sullivan of Dover, Ohio; two sisters: Linda Sell, Sandy Harrison, and a brother, Barry (Linda) Easlick, all of Scio, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Easlick, on March 31, 2015.
At Richard’s request, there will be no services. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
