peggyPeggy Lou McGaha, age 83, of Tippecanoe, passed on Wednesday, April 22,  at her residence.

Born in Stillwater, Ohio, on Jan. 17, 1932, Peggy was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Bahmer) Burkhart.

In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Robert C. McGaha; two sons Johnny and Benny McGaha; two sisters Wilma Staley and Doris Burkhart and an infant brother Jim.

In 1949, Peggy graduated from Freeport High School.  She was retired from NCR in Cambridge after 26 years.  Peggy loved Lakeland Basketball and the Lakeland Basketball Boosters. She loved to go ching changing at the Island.

Peggy is survived by her children Carol Huston of Cambridge, Clinton (Carmen) McGaha of Cambridge, Tommy (Annabelle Toney) McGaha of Hawley, Texas, Mary (Billie Parrigan) McGaha of Tippecanoe and Martha (Steve Burdette) Hunt of Tippecanoe; siblings Hazel Wood of Adena, Ellen (Bob) Dickson of Rapid City, South Dakota and John Burkhart of Tippecanoe; daughter-in-law Barb McGaha of Bolivar; sister-in-law Millie McGaha of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren Clint Jr., Sabrina, Heather, Brian, Josh, Angela, Dusty, Chad and Julie who was her caregiver; great grandchildren Whitney, Alex, Ivy, Holly, Corey, Seth, Dakota, Nichlas, Caden, Hali, Jaxson, Ailey, Blake, Hatley, Cole, Landon and Ryder and great great granddaughter Bria.

Funeral services for Peggy will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, April 27,  at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home Inc. at Uhrichsville with the Pastor Jim McConnell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmont Union Cemetery in Freeport.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m., on Sunday, April 26, at the funeral home.
