Naomi Virginia Noss, Age 94, died Saturday, July 4, at John and Susan Miller’s home in Sugarcreek. She was a former resident of Scott Hill Rd., Freeport, Ohio. She was born July 2, 1921 in Huntington, W.Va., to the late Melvin and Hattie Dial Sias. She married William John Noss in 1946 and he died in 1991. A son, Charles Noss died in 2005.

She is survived by a daughter, Louise Noss of Prince Edward Island, Canada and two granddaughters, Hilary McDonald and Dania Eillis. She also has one great granddaughter.

Naomi graduated from Ohio University and taught school at Junction City, Ohio. She was a member of the United Church of God where she was active into her 90s.

In addition to English, she spoke French and Spanish fluently and traveled extensively to South America, Europe and the Middle East where she met Her Highness Queen Noor of Jordan.

Friends may call at the Bond Funeral Home in Londonderry on Sunday, July 12 from noon until time for service at 1 p.m. Pastor Randy Stiver will officiate. Burial will follow at the Moorefield Cemetery. www.bondfuneralhome.net
