Frances L. Thompson, age 82, of Cadiz, formerly of Scio, passed away Wednesday, July 22, at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville after a brief illness.
Born December 30, 1932 at home in German Township, Harrison County, she was a daughter of the late David and Lola Wagner White.
Frances worked at the Scio Pottery and was a member of the Scio VFD Auxiliary. But what she loved most was her family. She enjoyed playing cards with her sisters and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thompson, a bother Dean White, sister’s Mildred Hemmelapck and Dorothy Lenkey and a grandson Aaron Thompson.
Surviving are sons Ronald (Dot) Thompson and Larry (Lori) Thompson both of Cadiz, a brother Don (Mary) White, sisters Faye (Fuzz) McAfee, Jean (Ginger) Howell and Joann (Ed) McAfee, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Grandview Cemetery, Scio at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Scio VFD Auxiliary, c/o Mary Jane Veach, 89575 Cemetery Rd., Scio, Ohio, 43988. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements.
